Winter Guidelines to Recreate Responsibly
Earlier this year, Washington Wild joined the Recreate Responsibly coalition. Comprised of nearly 1,000 businesses, agencies, nonprofits, and influential voices, the coalition is an active working group that unifies and amplifies commonsense practices for safely getting outside during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During this public health crisis, spending time in outdoor spaces has become more important than ever. But with social distancing restrictions in place and a strain on our healthcare system, all of us, from seasoned outdoor enthusiasts to families heading out to their local park for the first time, could use a little guidance about how to stay safe.
The Recreate Responsibly guidelines offer a starting point for getting outside to keep yourself healthy and to maintain access to our parks, trails, and beaches.
As the season changes, so do our practices to stay safe outside — to protect each other and the places we play.
