Washington Wild Welcomes Laura Buckmaster!

Posted on Apr 22, 2019 in Conservation News, WA Wild Blog

Laura joined Washington Wild in 2019. She grew up in Georgia where she enjoyed paddling through the winding rivers and swamps, but was always captivated by the Washington’s wild landscapes. She graduated from the University of Oregon, and went on to run the Georgia Conservancy’s Stewardship Trips Program- combining outdoor recreation and environmental education to cultivate conservation.

As the Program Manager, she leads the Brewshed Alliance, a partnership between 62 breweries and Washington Wild which supports clean water initiatives. Laura also works with Tom on WA Wild’s conservation work, and is passionate about protecting and defending our public lands and waters.

In her free time, Laura enjoys rock-climbing, fly-fishing, paddling, and taking her dog on hikes.
