Hi there! I’m so excited to take on the position of Membership and Events Coordinator here at Washington Wild. Growing up in Olympia, I would spend all my summer days walking by the water, exploring our many forests, or simply “camping out” in my backyard. I always loved helping my grandma garden and swimming in the lakes by my house. However, at that time, I never thought I would have the opportunity to work for an organization that does so much for environmental conservation and education.

As an undergraduate, I was a part of the University of Washington Cheer and Dance team, which allowed me to travel all over the United States. However, every time I went somewhere new, I realized Washington was the place for me. When I moved to Seattle for school, I was fascinated with the environment, and wanted to go into policy work, but did not know what route I could take with my interests. While deciding where to get my MPA, I had six options all over the country. The decision to stay in Washington ultimately came down to the environmental activism here, along with the accessibility to all sorts of landscapes. I love how I can take a day trip to forests, beaches, and mountains. There is always more outside to explore here.

Currently, I am an MPA candidate at the University of Washington (Go Dawgs!) and focusing on environmental policy. I cannot wait to see what the future holds, and I’m so grateful to work with an organization with such passion for the environment!
