Washington Wild Hosts “Wild Night Out” to Celebrate 40th Anniversary
Today, Washington Wild was thrilled to host over 150 guests at our annual fundraiser, Wild Night Out, where we raised over $75,000 to help protect Washington’s wild lands and waters! We were honored to celebrate our 40th anniversary with supporters, friends, and our incredible Washington Wild community while reflecting on forty years of conservation successes.
Our new location, Axis in Pioneer Square, was incredible. Their high ceilings, wood floors, and brick walls were the perfect backdrop for our style of event. Guests enjoyed local food from the excellent Ravishing Radish, local beers from our Brewshed Alliance partners, wine from LE’cole Winery and cider from 2 Towns Ciderhouse.
As guests began to pour in, raffle tickets for our adventure prize pack were being bought by the arm length. Our glow stick rings were wrapping around our growler bottles for our ring toss game, and everyone was writing down their bid numbers for our silent auction. As we gathered for our presentation portion of the evening, we got our guests excited by premiering our 40th Anniversary video which drew many cheers and put the audience in a great mindset for our Live Auction and Paddle Raise!
Our evening concluded by awarding Patagonia and Meghan Wolf our Conservation Voices Award. Tim Manns and Brenda Cunningham were awarded our Karen M. Fant Founders Award and Hellbent Brewing Company took home our Brewshed Alliance Award. This was followed by a toast with a special fresh hop beer brewed by Hellbent, to celebrate the past 40 years and our determination to make the next 40 years just as impactful.
The passion and support for our work is what keeps our team motivated every day to fulfill our goal of protecting, defending and restoring Washington’s wild land and places. Thanks to all those who attended, sponsored, donated, volunteered and made it a memorable evening!
