Washington Wild Photo Contest
June 21 – August 20, 2021
We love seeing photos from your adventures in the outdoors! Your photos help us tell the story of our state’s wild legacy and advance efforts to defend our public lands from new and ongoing threats. Thank you for helping us capture the beauty of Washington’s wild places.
CATEGORIES:
The Washington Wild Photo Contest features five categories with prizes awarded for the top photo in each category. The 2021 categories are:
FISH AND WILDLIFE – Show us your favorite non-human friends found in National Parks, Forests, or designated wilderness areas! Remember to always give wildlife plenty of space.
PEOPLE AND PUBLIC LANDS – Hiking, biking, walking, and fishing — these are just a few ways to interact with public lands. Show us your favorite way to play on public lands and be sure to recreate responsibly.
WILD WATERS – Washington’s federal lands are home to a number of wild rivers, streams, lakes, and waterfalls. Submit photos to this category that capture wild waters in all their glory!
Photos for the above three categories must be taken on Washington state federal lands, which include National Forests, National Parks, designated wilderness areas, inventoried roadless areas, and any areas within pending proposed wilderness, including the Wild Olympics Campaign.
WILD WITHIN OUR COMMUNITIES – Whether it’s a nearby park, balcony, or your own backyard, there’s natural beauty in our communities just waiting to be seen and shared. Submit photos to this category that are taken close to home.
BREWSHED® CONNECTION – Must be 21+ to submit to this category. Show off your favorite brew from a Washington Brewshed® Alliance member, either on-site or in the wild. Always pack in and pack out and drink responsibly.
