The Article

This June, Washington Wild was proud to have been featured in Seattle Magazine’s editor’s note by Rachel Hart, “Seattle Is Closer to More Wilderness Areas Than Any Large U.S. City”. Born out of the common interests between us and our partners at Seattle Mag, the article highlights protecting wild places in Washington State and getting people engaged and connected to their surroundings.

Check out the article here and learn about the areas near Seattle we work to protect every day!

Get Involved!

Do you love getting outdoors in Washington State? Do you appreciate living in a state where the economy and quality of life both benefit from pristine wild areas like forests, rivers, and mountains? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you are on your way to becoming a Wilderness Advocate! Here are a couple easy ways to get involved and ensure our wilderness is protected for all to enjoy:

  • Become a monthly donor! Your monthly gift continuously contributes to the persistent defense of the wild places that make our state so special.
  • Volunteer! We’re always looking for people to help out at events, take photos of wild places, and contribute to our blog.
  • Take Action! Use your voice to stand up for effective policies that benefit our wild places.
