Local Legend, the PNW Sasquatch, Presents Washington Wild with $10,000
Acting on behalf of our friends at Schilling Cider, the legendary forest-dweller celebrated the end of the inaugural “Keep It Wild” campaign with our Director of Development, Evan.
Earlier this year, Washington Wild began a new partnership with the local cidery. Kicking off their “Keep It Wild” campaign with an Earth Day celebration, Schilling Cider pledged 5% of all proceeds from the campaign in support of our work to protect and defend our wild places here in Washington.
“One of our passionate sales reps came to our marketing team wanting to give a portion of Schilling sales to Washington Wild. We took her suggestion to heart and went straight to work,” says Creative Director Amanda Pearman.
“We at Schilling believe in pristine outdoor spaces and wilderness. We believe in leaving no trace. We believe that our fun shouldn’t come at the expense of our wild friends. We believe in being stewards of sustainability and using our platform to give back to causes that need our support. We want others around the PNW to rally around this “Keep it Wild” cry. Supporting a cause that they care about in places that they care about. Giving people an opportunity to give back in an incremental way. Educating people about how they can get involved in protecting the PNW’s outdoor and wild spaces through Washington Wild.”
“Keep It Wild” proved to be a huge success and the results were amazing. From April 22 to Memorial Day, the pledged 5% donation from sales of Schilling’s two best-selling hard ciders—Local Legend and Excelsior Imperial Cider—topped $10,000. Delivering such a massive check required some heavy lifting, so thankfully our local PNW Sasquatch was happy to help.
With such impressive results and shared love for our wild places, it sounds like the “Keep it Wild” campaign is here to stay. “I really want to give a hats off to our marketing team for bringing the ‘Keep It Wild’ campaign to life!” said Colin Schilling, co-founder and CEO, “We’re excited to partner again with Washington Wild next year!”
Stay tuned for an Earth Day launch again in 2023…
