Icicle Brewing Releases Napeequa Pilsner + Hosts Taproom Event to Support ORW Designations

An Icicle Brewing pint glass filled with Napeequa Pilsner, a light yellow hazy beer, surrounded by greenery, fuschias, and deep purple pansiesWorking to protect watershed health from peak to pint, our Brewshed® has been a significant part of the ongoing Outstanding Resource Waters (ORW) campaign. Released yesterday, Icicle Brewing in Leavenworth crafted the Napeequa Pilsner, a West Coast-style pilsner with a bold and smooth hoppy character, complimented by a crisp, clean finish—just like nearby ORW candidate, the Napeequa River. Brewed with a portion of Salmon-Safe ingredients; Simcoe, Citra, and Mosaic hops from Yakima Chief Hops and Francin Pilsner malt from Linc Malt & Cold Stream Malt.

In addition to brewing this delicious beer, Icicle Brewing also hosted WA Wild staff for an event at their taproom where folks were able to enjoy draft pours of Napeequa Pilsner while submitting Action Cards to send to the Department of Ecology expressing their support for ORW designation.

And thanks to the generosity of our incredible Brewshed® partner Icicle Brewing, 25% of total sales from the day of the event + $1 per pint from the entire batch of Napeequa Pilnser will be donated in support of our mission to protect Washington’s wild lands and waters. Available only on draft in Icicle’s taproom, be sure to visit if you’re visiting or driving by the beautiful town of Leavenworth!
