On February 29, Brewshed Alliance member Aslan Brewing Co. released a very excellent Mocha Horchata Brown Ale called “Rocket Fuel” to celebrate their brand new Fremont location. A bit more about the event from Aslan:
“To celebrate the community and creations Fremont, we partnered with our Phinney Ave neighbors, Lighthouse Roasters & Theo Chocolate, to make a collaborative beer. The result is Rocket Fuel (Mocha Horchata Brown Ale), a perfect pick me up for these darker winter days! The recipe includes organic cocoa nibs from Theo Chocolate and Roaster’s Choice coffee beans from Lighthouse Roasters.
To commemorate the release of this beer, we are throwing our first party at the Fremont taproom! We partnered with MiiR, a frequent collaborator and fellow B-Corp, to create limited edition Rocket Fuel camp cups. $5 from every cup sold at this event will go towards Washington Wild. Theo Chocolate & Lighthouse Roasters will also be in attendance, handing out delicious samples of their products.
Funds raised from Rocket Fuel at this event will be donated to Washington Wild, a local environmental partner. Washington Wild and Aslan are long time partners through Washington Wild’s Brewshed Alliance, which focuses on protecting Washington’s healthy watersheds and wild places.”
Huge thanks to Aslan Brewing Co., Lighthouse Roasters, Theo Chocolate, and Miir for allowing us to share in the fun! A whopping 96 people filled out postcards to Senator Cantwell in support of expanding protections in the North Cascades.
