Wild Olympics at Naked City Brewery
July 29, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Come join us for a Brewshed® Happy Hour at our neighborhood Brewshed® Partner, Naked City Brewery and Taproom. During this informal happy hour we will be showing an episode of the PBS Series “This American Land” featuring the Wild Olympics Campaign.
Wild Olympics was reintroduced to Congress by Senator Murray and Representative Derek Kilmer on June 4, 2015. This bill includes over 126,000 acres of new Wilderness and over 400 miles of Wild and Scenic River designations. Washington Wild has been a leader since Wild Sky’s passing in 2o08 in what we like to call the “River Renaissance”. The “River Renaissance” is an expanded why of approaching wilderness bills to specifically include nearby and eligible Wild and Scenic Rivers. Our beautiful state has 250 miles of Wild and Scenic Rivers designated, with 50 of those miles being added in December of 2014.
Wild Olympics is an important next step after the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions, which included 40 miles of new river designations, towards closing the gap between Washington and Oregon – which has over 2,000 miles of Wild & Scenic Rivers.
During this event Brewshed® Partner Naked City Brewery and Taphouse will be donating $1 per beer sold to Washington Wild to keep our state Washington wild, green, and full of great beer.
Video showing will be at 7 PM.
