Wild & Scenic Hazy IPA Release
April 14, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
FreeCome celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act with this charity collaboration brew between Peddler Brewing Company and Counterbalance Brewing Company benefiting Washington Wild! We’ll be relishing in the delicious Wild & Scenic Hazy IPA brewed with malt donated by Skagit Valley Malting in honor of the 40th Anniversary of one of Washington’s own Wild & Scenic Rivers – the Skagit River! $1 of every pint will go to Washington Wild to support their conservation work.
Peddler and Counterbalance will tap the first kegs when they open on Saturday.
WA Wild staff at Peddler 2-3
WA Wild staff at Counterbalance Brewing 4-5
Want to attend both events and ride your bike? You’re in luck, brewery staff and friends will be biking a keg of the special brew from Peddler to Counterbalance, leaving at 3pm! The route will be shared so you can also meet them along the way. A full keg weighs 160 pounds so rest assured it will be a leisurely pace.
Whether you want to show up at one location for a pint OR join us for the afternoon on our bike-crawl, we’re excited to share this special release with you. Washington Wild staff will be on site to answer all your questions about Wild & Scenic Rivers and to share in the celebration of 50 years of the highest level of federal protection for rivers available!
What is a Wild & Scenic River?
The Wild and Scenic Rivers Act was passed in 1968 to protect our nation’s last, best, free-flowing rivers. Wild rivers give us clean water, world-class recreation and unmatched opportunities for inspiration and solitude. Wild and Scenic designation — the strongest protection a river can receive — ensures that the free-flowing character, water quality, and outstanding values of these rivers are protected for generations to come.
