Please join us on Wednesday, August 16th at Bellingham’s Ponderosa Beer & Books for a Brewshed® Tap Takeover! Participating breweries and their beers that we’ll be pouring TBD, but WA Wild staff will be on hand to discuss our Outstanding Resource Waters (ORW) campaign to designate the Cascade, Green, and Napeequa Rivers as Washington’s first-ever ORWs. A component of the federal Clean Water Act, ORW designation allows states to identify pristine waterways that constitute an outstanding state resource due to their exceptional water quality, statewide ecological importance, and/or unique recreational value. Once a waterway is designated as such, it protects that river, stream, or lake from any future activities or development that would degrade water quality. We’ll have action cards for you to fill out to send to the Department of Ecology and a raffle!
