Big Time Brewery Raises over $2,500 for Washington Wild Brewshed Alliance with Upstream IPA

Big thanks to Big Time Brewery for raising important funds for wildlands and waterway protections in Washington state. Our collaboration beer, Upstream IPA, brought in over $2,500 to advance Washington Wild’s mission of protecting and restoring wildlands and waters through advocacy, education, and civic engagement.
Upstream IPA brought attention to the interconnected reality of our waterways in Washington State. Here in Seattle, we depend on fresh mountain water that flows down from the waterways of the Cascades. Considering that beer is 90% water, it’s no surprise that pristine water upstream leads to superior downstream beer.

New Patio at Big Time Brewery
Generous donations contributed to the success of this collaboration brew. Skagit Valley Malting provided Salmon Safe® malt and Yakima Chief Hops donated hops that gave Upstream IPA its distinct flavor. Because of these contributions, Big Time was able to pass along 40% of proceeds from Upstream IPA to Washington Wild.
Thanks to Big Time Brewery, Skagit Valley Malting, and Yakima Chief Hops for being a part of our Brewshed® Alliance, introducing new audiences to our work, and raising important funds for our shared interest in clean water for all!
